The L-8 Reservoir has a water resource management function to allow the reservoir to store and release water from and to the L-8 Canal. The project was designed and construced to effectively manage storm water runoff, and improve the restoration of natural systems, water quality efforts and water supply. The project included inflow conveyance facilities from the L-8 Canal to the L-8 Reservoir, modifications to the l-8 Reservoir, and an L-8 Pump Station that pumps water from the reservoir to the canal.
